Moxa's RISC-based W325A computer is the ideal AMR data concentrator to connect the digital meter with the computer in the control room. It helps collect the data from the digital meter and is a front-end controller that can handle complicated tasks such as protocol conversion and data computing, offering an intelligent data concentrator platform to generate readable analytical information for the computer at the control center.

The W325A comes with the ready-to-run Linux OS pre-installed. System programmers can easily develop the required application software on this open and familiar platform so that the AMR system can be quickly deployed. The W325A also features a built-in GSM/GPRS wireless module, which provides a convenient integrated wireless communications system. This is particularly helpful for AMR field site applications, where wired communications is unavailable or prohibitive in cost.
